Summary

Sure Product Studio is the next evolution of Sure Product Consulting, with services reimagined for the AI era. It brings together software development, product management, and UX, with specialist collaborators engaged as projects need them.

Background - The Quick Overview

I’ve spent my career in tech, primarily in business and enterprise software. My roles have spanned engineering management, product leadership, and management consulting. Most recently, I’ve worked as an individual contributor full-stack engineer building mobile and web applications.

For ten years, I ran Sure Product Consulting, a software product management and product marketing consultancy serving more than twenty Silicon Valley technology companies. Sure Product Studio is the next evolution of that business, expanding the practice to include UX design and software development—from defining a product to building it.

I’ve been on both sides of major enterprise software purchases, helping organizations choose systems and helping vendors create products customers will buy and use. I lead studio engagements, bringing in specialist collaborators as projects need them.

I hold a BS in Computer Science from MIT and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

The Path to Sure Product Studio

From 2009 to 2020, I ran Sure Product Consulting. Depending on the project, I brought in specialists across development, writing, marketing, product management, competitive analysis, and program management.

In 2018, I returned to hands-on development, completing a coding bootcamp and then spending four years as a frontend software engineer at One Concern.

Frontend work brings together the parts of the job I enjoy most: solving technical problems, making interfaces useful, and collaborating with product managers, designers, and customers. My product background keeps me focused on why we’re building something as well as how.

Today, I lead Sure Product Studio—the next evolution of Sure Product Consulting, with services reimagined for the AI era. It brings together software development, product management, and UX, with specialist collaborators engaged as projects need them. I’m also exploring full-time software engineering opportunities.
